Eric Braun joined Hub Group in October 2025 and was later named Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in January 2026. In his role, Eric oversees all legal functions for Hub Group, including labor and employment, commercial, M&A, corporate governance, litigation, claims, and carrier compliance.
Eric has over 25 years of legal, regulatory and compliance experience, having served more than 20 years in various senior legal roles at Caterpillar Inc., where he was Deputy General Counsel and led the teams of legal professionals that supported Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation business segment. He also previously served as Caterpillar’s Chief Compliance Officer and in senior roles with responsibility for commercial, intellectual property, trade and regulatory, and litigation. Earlier in his career, Eric was a lawyer at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, now a part of Dentons.
Eric graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Centre College of Kentucky and received his JD degree cum laude from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He also completed Caterpillar’s LD400 leadership development program, is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Executive Leadership Institute, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Humane Society.
