What does this recognition mean to you?
It is an honor to be selected as one of the 50 Drivers@50 at Hub Group. This nomination is particularly special considering the thousands of other professional drivers within this organization whose honesty, hard work, and safety do not go unnoticed.
What do you enjoy most about working at Hub Group?
I enjoy the people I work with — both in the office and with other drivers. Beyond my driver role, I have contributed to new driver orientation, driver training, and administering road tests. I help our drivers stay injury-free as a champion for our terminal. At Hub Group, it’s been great to get involved to help our team.
What would you tell another driver who wasn’t familiar with Hub Group?
We are a family-oriented company with a great open-door policy and a relaxed, welcoming office environment. Hub Group wants you to succeed and provides you with up-to-date equipment and a strong safety mindset.
Hub Group has given me the flexibility to watch my children and attend their sporting events as they grew up. Operationally, we keep it simple and you will have your plans for the next day before you leave the day before, so you can do your trip-planning, paperwork, and head out.
